- 1Boston330: $WAL. Added to long common position at 34.54 rhrn on 111K rhrn v. 10-da avg vol of 423K (somewhat thinly traded); other regionals are moving up as well $RF, $WF, $STT, $ZION, $STI, $BBT, $MTB, etc.; of these, $WAL is moving up the best for the past week to 30 days imho.
- DavidM: @dkoran Don't get too excited about the switch. I filled out all the preliminary forms for a mortgage at $WF, which they was supposedly forwarded to a local mortgage agent for the bank. Never heard back, even after stopping in a the local branch in a few days to check up on it. Applied the same day with a local mortgage company. Got the mortgage from them. It was a BAC owned short sale. It took about 4 months for $BAC to approve it, but we did eventually get the place.

- woodman: CROX/Cooperman - did anyone write down the list of stocks mentioned by Cooperman (of Omega Advisors) this morning on #CNBC (as one that he and/or his staff is touting for 2013)? I got $CROX, "Chimera" (I'm assuming that's $CIM, not CHMR), $QCOM, $GOOG, $PAY, $S (I think this is his 2012 star employee's big pick for 2013), $SD, $HAL, $ATLS & APL (I believe), $MRK, $AIG, $C, $JPM, $WF and FCX. There were several I missed.
- CarolB: Yes, it is a crummy platform when it comes to charts. I don't used it for making buy/sell decisions. There are plenty of free @charting services for that. I just like the idea of free trades. I have an IRA account there which I don't trade real actively - it is more of a yield hog account. About stops, $WF does let you place them and I have them on for non-yield hog trades.

- strickland411: @Bob - almost certainly! @kmis is right - too late to short it. So I've sold 75% of the position I bought back yesterday, and I'm holding the rest for purposes of watching long-term. I think $MS is on solid footing financially, and after looking at the numbers I think they've done what $WF and $JPM did three months ago - take the pain. I suspect from here on they'll be more like $GS than $C or BAC.
