All the while @Dan's voice in my head about desperate trading. I may have sold too soon but my heart can only take so much. Now the question is, to hold or not to hold over weekend. Seems like a Euro Bomb is on its way considering the Dax closed at 5 week high. The other consideration is what the Downgrades will do to the Euro/Dollar. A strong Dollar pressures the markets.

  • jojo1480: $RVBD FFIV- picked $RVBD yesterday for a trade will sell later this a.m, stock was upgraded by several firms but price target lowered from hi 40's to 39 - 41. Picked up $FFIV this morning @115.30, earnings report $AH today, will sell before eod. Just looking to pick up some chump change. AAPL- don' t have a crystal ball, wouldn' t surprise me if this stock rocket past $400, $CHA partnership not factored in, the earnings numbers blow out...guess the rest. SINA- is this all the pullback we had yesterday?, looking to add to this rocket momentum play if I see 125 with volume.

Please be advised that I know nothing about most of these companies and some of the stocks are thinly traded.     I noticed examining the sector weighings that $FXI is overweight in the #financials 41.54%.

    The next highest sector is energy @ 23.5%.

  • Ian: Random walk on a quiet day# . Coal seems to working. MEE, $JRCC, $ACI, $CNX, BTU. I've nibbled on $ACI $YZC, a Chinese coal, is also working. That leads to looking at $FXI, the China ETF. That seems in good shape too, as has been note by @Dan. Of the $FXI components available over here as ADRs, it's the Chinese energy companies $PTR, CEO, that are doing best. $SNP lagging a bit. The Chinese telcoms, $CHU, $CHA, $CHL are all 'top of the box' and might go either way. Insurance in the form of $LFC looks like a nascent cup and handle, as does $CHL now I look at it again. Walking from China to the emerging market ETFs we used to follow. $EWZ (Brazil,) $EPI (India,) and $EEM (Brazil, China, Taiwan, Korea, Israel etc.) are going on my watch list. @Ian
  • Dan: Hi Madeline. We're looking at different Chinese stocks. Check out: $ASIA, SNDA, YTEC, HRAY, $HMIN, $CHU, $NCTY, $ZNH, $CHA,SSRX, CN, $SNP, $SHI, and CSIQ. All of these are outperforming the Halter USX China Index (USX--X). $SINA and $SOHU (alternate internet plays) have also beeing doing OK over the past few days. $BIDU, of course, is the super star...and I'm still sticking with my $435 price target that I set a couple of months ago.
